STEMM professionals increasingly shape decisions that affect organisations, communities, and public outcomes — often without formal authority. Yet influence is rarely taught in STEMM training, despite the reality that evidence must be communicated, trusted, and applied within complex human systems.
The STEMM Influence Lab was created to develop credible influence beyond expertise: stronger judgment, clearer communication, and ethical decision practice under uncertainty — without relying on hierarchy, charisma, or self-aggrandisement.
We treat leadership as a practice grounded in real decision environments — where evidence is incomplete, trade-offs are real, and relationships shape outcomes.
The Lab develops inner capacities such as emotional intelligence, self-regulation, perspective-taking, and ethical discernment as integrated foundations for communication, influence, and sound judgment. These capacities are addressed holistically and applied directly to the lived challenges STEMM leaders face.
