This course develops the practical influence capabilities STEMM leaders need to operate effectively in today’s reality. This includes the anatomy of dialogue that allows scientific thinking to be heard, understood, and acted upon. Participants learn how influence is sustained through self-regulation, relational awareness, and communication practices that stabilise systems rather than escalate them. Attention is given to framing, pacing, listening, signalling, interruption, repair, and sensemaking in complex organisational contexts. Working skilfully and strategically with human systems, evidence informed thinking can enter decision making, even in times of confusion and noise.
